The BMCC Young & Youth Chamber empowers young people to explore leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and community involvement through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences. While not every young person may choose to become an entrepreneur, the Young & Youth chamber is designed to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and encourage creativity, collaboration, and professional growth. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, workshops, and real-world experiences, youth participants are supported in discovering their strengths, expanding their perspectives, and building pathways toward future success within their communities and careers.

Chief Devon Clunis

Former Chief of Police · Community Leader · Youth Advocate

Devon Clunis is a respected community leader and the former Chief of the Winnipeg Police Service, known for his commitment to inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, and community-based solutions. Throughout his career, he has championed equity, dialogue, and collaboration as tools for building safer and stronger communities.

As a mentor within the Young & Youth Chamber, Chief Clunis brings real-world leadership experience, offering youth guidance on integrity, decision-making, public service, and navigating leadership roles with confidence and purpose.

Dr. Warren Clarke

Educator · Researcher · Community Builder

Dr. Warren Clarke is an educator, researcher, and community advocate dedicated to advancing equity, education, and leadership development within Black and immigrant communities. His work focuses on empowering young people through knowledge, critical thinking, and community engagement.

As a mentor, Dr. Clarke supports youth in building confidence, setting long-term goals, and understanding how education, leadership, and civic involvement intersect to create meaningful change.
