Sergeant Danielle Ranville is a proud Indigenous Veteran whose life and career reflect courage, resilience, and a deep commitment to service. Throughout her distinguished time in the Canadian Armed Forces, she served with 1 Canadian Air Division and 17 Wing Winnipeg, including 435 Squadron and Human Resource Financial Services. Her dedication to operational excellence also took her overseas on deployments to Cyprus, Romania, and Lithuania, where she represented Canada with professionalism and strength.

She retired in November 2024 at the rank of Sergeant, concluding a career marked by leadership, compassion, and service under pressure. Among her many contributions, she received the 1 Canadian Air Division Commanding Officer Commendation for her work with Soldier On and the Department of National Defence Staff Commendation for providing lifesaving care to a civilian while serving in Lithuania. These recognitions reflect both her strength of character and her unwavering commitment to others.

Today, Danielle continues to serve her community through her work at the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and through active involvement in veterans’ initiatives, including the Southern Chiefs’ Organization Veterans Program and Soldier On Prairie Region. A quiet but powerful leader, she stands as a role model for Indigenous women and youth, grounded in culture, strong in spirit, and always ready to uplift and protect others.
