Andre Sheppard is a dedicated leader whose life and career reflect service, remembrance, and a strong commitment to community. As Identification Manager at Commissionaires Manitoba, he has spent nearly 11 years helping protect and serve Manitobans with professionalism, care, and integrity.

Before joining Commissionaires, Andre served honourably for 36 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Naval Coordinator. Throughout his military career, he contributed to the protection of Canada’s shores and national interests, building a legacy rooted in discipline, leadership, and public service.

Andre’s work continues to extend beyond his formal roles. He is a strong advocate for remembrance and recognition, helping ensure that the stories, sacrifices, and contributions of veterans are not forgotten. His perspective reminds us that remembrance is not only about looking back, but also about carrying forward the responsibility to honour those who came before us.

In recognition of his meaningful contributions, Andre was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for his work on the National Advisory Committee overseeing the formal apology to the dependents and soldiers of No. 2 Construction Battalion, Canada’s all Black battalion of the First World War. His involvement in this important work reflects a deep commitment to historical recognition, justice, and reconciliation.
