LS RET’d Justin Woodcock is a proud First Nations veteran from Opaskwayak Cree Nation and a dedicated advocate for veterans across Canada. With nearly a decade of service in both the Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian Navy, Justin began his military career as an armoured crewman with Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) before transitioning to the Navy as a Combat Systems Engineer aboard HMCS Regina. He contributed to critical domestic operations, including Operation LUSTRE and Operation LENTUS, demonstrating a deep commitment to service and community.

 Since retiring in 2017, Justin has focused on supporting veterans affected by PTSD and advancing meaningful change through advocacy. Holding a degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba, he now serves as the First Nations Veterans Coordinator for the Southern Chiefs’ Organization, where he has pioneered Canada’s first wraparound support program for First Nations veterans. Justin remains deeply committed to honoring, uplifting, and advocating for First Nations veterans and their communities.
