Captain Liliose Gwendoline Neche is a respected military leader, engineer, and entrepreneur whose journey reflects excellence in service, profession, and community. Originally from Cameroon, she immigrated to Canada in 2010 and has since built an outstanding record of achievement. In 2021, she joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Signal Officer through the Direct Entry Officer program and made history as the first Black woman in Manitoba to hold the rank of Captain in the Canadian Army.

Captain Neche holds a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering and is a Professional Engineer registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. Before joining the military, she worked as a Systems Analyst Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for an internationally deployed robotic IV compounding system that supported hospitals and pharmacies around the world.

Her military training took her to Saint Jean sur Richelieu, Gagetown, and Kingston, where she completed the Signal Officer Course before serving with 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters in Edmonton and later as Adjutant of 38 Signal Regiment in Winnipeg. She currently serves as Deputy Commanding Officer of the 3rd Canadian Division Support Group Signal Squadron, overseeing critical communication capabilities and leading with discipline, strategic vision, and integrity.

Captain Neche’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and service. From immigrant to engineer, entrepreneur, and senior military officer, she continues to inspire through her dedication to country, community, and excellence.
