The Dark Green is the Soldiers life from the day the Soldier wrote a blank cheque, payable with their life, then signed to serve their country. The Dark Green is the Soldiers life, loves and dreams, her/his family, her/his time serving to keep us free. Dark Green, the colour of spring, of youth, of promise.
The Light Green is the Veteran who has walked through the doors of hell and returned to a life that has dimmed with the heavy load they carry of the battles they have faced and the losses they have witnessed. Light Green the colour of the fading summer, the time of adulthood, the living of the dreams of youth.
The Clear Edge is eternity where the Soldiers who gave their all, made the ultimate sacrifice, are still On Duty, as the young Soldiers they were the day their cheque was cashed. Still standing on guard for the Veterans who returned and for us – Forevermore. Clear, those things we cannot see but know are there, the winds of life, the minds-eye that can see what is hidden from the natural world.
